Composed entirely by Gizem Alever, Serendipity is an album that brings the rich sonic world of traditional instruments together with a contemporary and personal compositional approach. The distinctive colors of kanun, kemençe, tanbur and lavta meet the piano, with the pieces shaped by the excitement of making music together, listening to one another and discovering new musical possibilities. Drawing inspiration from traditional music, the album explores the relationships between different instruments and the possibilities of creating new expressions through collaboration.
